They were hot garbage last year, and this year's roster is filled with unknowns (albeit talented, at some positions). That team has to prove its worth.

I agree, but with all the hype I figured they would at least break the top 25.

Saw where South Carolina was picked I think 10th best in the conference? Wow. What a difference one guy makes.

Number four in the nation with a whole team that has never put foot on a college court and who's coach is already saying they know little or nothing other than they're long and athletic.....

Sounds like a recipe for some disappointment...

TBH I was a little surprised about Missouri too. At least in the SEC rankings.

I think people may still be a little gunshy because of Ben Simmons and LSU. I do think Porter is a bit more gifted and Cuonzo is a way better coach than Jones.

Missouri will beat some teams IMO and will be top 25ish most of the year.
