How Did We Miss This? Jimmy Dykes is Back

I really like Jimmy actually and am glad to see this.

His first game will be the Blue/White Game Friday night.

I hate Jimmy Dykes commentary and I mute the TV when he does a game. Can't stand him. He's a walking cornball gimmick.

That's good news. He can be a little overbearing at times with his cliches but he's a much better fit than Sean Farnham doing SEC games. I knew Dykes had been fired by Arkansas as their women's coach and had wondered if he might be back doing game for ESPN.
            Kentucky fan since 1971.

He isn't the first one with the cornball. This goes way back to when Joe Dean did the games. They call that straaaaaaaang music in Lexington K-Y!!!!!!

Not a Dykes fan, but I'll take him over Farnham any day of the week.

LOVED Joe Dean. His son sounds just like him. I miss those old Jefferson Pilot games.

I go back even more when he was doing games on the TVS network with John Ferguson. They made a very good team. That's when you only saw one game a week on a Saturday afternoon.

I love Jimmy Dykes. He's knowledgeable, not biased, and entertaining. I am glad he made one of his violent cuts back into broadcasting.
