Haha. Doubtful. That show tomorrow is probably going to break their own records. Just because you don't like it/don't care doesn't mean there's not a huge population of people out there who A) do care or are B) curious.

It was only offered for a short time here in the Todd County area....and to be absolutely honest it just wasn't for me. There's nothing wrong g with being a homer.....but I think this guy is a product of 'i hate Pitino and Tom Jurich' more than any kind of sports news. He definitely cares little about anything but the basketball program, and it shows.

Pitino is gone, Louisville is floundering. Just seems time to think about keeping on building our own house instead of cheering our
neighbors ash pile. It was giddy enough while it was happening, but seems like it's done for now.

Rather, she was pressured by her legal counsel to avoid a radio interview or was approached with a monetary offer for a different outlet.

Matt Jones loses nothing by "fan disinterest" in a single forty-minute interview. And, judging by the social media reaction, there were plenty of folks who were looking forward to it.

I don't care either way, but there's nothing here to indicate that Matt Jones would cancel it himself. He sounded absolutely giddy to do it today, despite the lukewarm response from some of our fanbase.

No reason for KSR to cancel and say it was Sypher. It would have been a ratings bonanza and would have been a hot topic for a lot of national sports media. He would have been invited on a ton of national shows for follow up. I would think that Sypher was either paid to cancel or she was afraid of litigation if she talked.

Regardless, I’m glad it’s not happening. For better or worse, Jones and KSR are the BBN’s de facto representatives on the national level. That interview was going to make all of us look petty and trashy.

Call me softhearted but it's a shame these two love birds can't make amends and get back together. Prolly best for Porcini's walk in trade if they don't I guess.

Generally I like KSR even though I don't get to listen much. I love his postgame shows. Jones is a natural for the radio and most of what he's interested in the average fan is interested in. I think he gets what being a fan means way more than "real" journalists do.

Exactly. And I’m giving Jones the benefit of the doubt and assuming he realized this (or was convinced, at least).

Wouldn't doubt that a bit. Also may have some agreement in place with Pitino not to discuss this too. I'm sure her lawyers put the stop on this interview.
