First, all of us at WCN want to thank you for being members of this site. I and many others have been around for years and WCN is the first site we check in the morning and the last one we close down before we go to bed. It's because of thoughtful, engaged, passionate Kentucky fans like the members here that this place has been going for so long.
It has come time now for the admins and mods to ask the members for a favor. We need you to step forward in whatever way you feel comfortable to give a donation that will go toward improving this site. There are two initiatives we are looking to address:
1. Help with the WCN tailgates. These costs will encompass a television, satellite hook-up, and other miscellaneous costs that will go toward making sure these tailgates operate. The tailgates are essential for WCN's growth, and they have always been the place where our members can come together in the "real" world--and it's that sense of community that Mel passed down to Rick and all the people who work so hard to put these tailgates on. Even if you don't attend these tailgates, please know that you are always welcome and they are integral to the future of this board.
2. Any future upgrades and server fees to keep WCN going. The server we are using currently is glitchy, as many of you know. Many simple tools are inaccessible even to the mods. The growth of WCN can only happen if we have a server that we can actually count on. I've feared for the past couple of years that the server is going to have a fundamental issue and I'm just going to show up here on the day of a big game and get nothing. It would be a shame to lose all this history and to have this forum just vanish.
