I am going to print off the teams and do a side by side comparison and try to put some kind of formula in place to vote. Head to head matchups would be easier but also very time consuming. Now that i have it in front of me on paper, will vote here pretty soon.

That's what I did. It was still very difficult.

        11. Dwight Schrute

Very tough making decisions on all these teams and it's really a toss up from top to bottom. I am sure if it was a game to game head to head matchup, voting would be entirely different as i still believe that basketball is a game of matchups. My reasoning on my voting was simple, who has the most scorers on a team that can take over a game one on one? Even then, still not sure this was the right way to vote....

Fascinating that some people's lists are completely flipped. Just goes to show how close this is.

I'm not sure if this is the best way to vote, though...

That isn't how team basketball is played, but okay.

                NBA game maybe.

                College is different.

I tended to try and look at duos and trios. If a team had a devastating duo I think they would be hard to beat. Lighthouse's Fox and Chapman is crazy interesting, but there are others: teamchemistry's Issel, Rondo, and Lamb would be very hard to beat as well.

The college game is mostly about pulling in two or three players who can play at an extremely high level and then coming in behind those guys with players who can give you something every time they step on the court. The college game is relatively short and the mistakes kids make often make it so that you don't get a ton of cracks during a game to score, and those cracks you do get are often dictated by your two or three stars.

With ten WCN members voting to this point we have an extremely tight race between two for the lead. Two others are close enough that they could win with a late surge. So place your vote because your vote could make a difference in who wins.

It's about who can score the most points am i right? I kind of looked at this as a All star game, lots of points scored no defense being played.I don't know of any other way to come up with a formula to really vote on something like this but i will say this, my teams actually had the best 2 freshman UK scorers EVER and possibly the best pure scoring Center along with a guard who ranks high on may stats on the all time list. Add the fact that Wcs could defend any center in the history of UK bigs and there you go. My only question about my team in particular was whether or not Groza could step out and shoot the 3. There is not one team on the list i could not matchup and not only play, but win. When i broke it down, there was KCKU with no true PF, Dwight had no shooters, you had horrible guards Downes, Chemistry only had Issel maybe Lamb who could score but quicker faster big men could contain Issel, Freinds of Coal had garbage point guards, Uglyduckling was lacking with scorers besides GOOSE,Blue Heaven lacked bigs, La vender had 4 scorers, Spriit was solid with 2 scorers, Hall was solid, and Lighthouse had a great backcourt but no solid sf or scoring big.

Anyways, one on one matchups would have been much more interesting......

When i voted, i kept personal issuess to the side. With that being said,I appreciate the support but just so you know, i would scrape your garbage team off the court, it's weak. If my team is your worst team , then your team is worse than mine with the worse shooting point guards in the history of UK on your team. Issell would need to get on the John Calipari/Josh Harrellson treadmill program to run in today's game. With the 3 point shot and shot clock, just cant park down low in the paint and wait for the basketball.........

You need to check your history. Dampier averaged 20 pts a game for his career, and Minniefield is the all-time assist leader by 100.
