Yes and no. Yes about being fortunate, wish i would have went to UK. I agree that initially they did a great job and got me stable real quick but the aftermath and follow up has been completely horrible. The problem is that i will see one Dr. one time and the next time another, they all say different things so i am literally confused at this point. I had a relapse this past Monday (woke up with headache 3 days in a row and had some minor numbness) and was taken by ambulance to U of L again. Took a MRI brain scan Monday (positive no stroke) and also took a scan for the blood clot in my main neck artery. I had a appointment for Wednesday to get scanned anyways for the blood clot. The Dr. on Monday said she would go ahead and do the Wednesday test that night (Monday). I finally got a scan done about 10 pm Monday night but when i was released at 2 am in the moring, nurse says i still need the Wednesday scan. Tuesday they called and said no scan on Wednesday. It's Saturday, still no result from the MONDAY test and when i called yesterday, they said no one had read it yet.......................
Long story short, i am finding me a Dr. who at least comes to visit in my city once a week. I want to deal with one Dr. from now on, not interns and trainees at U of L. One Dr. there said i could never play golf again if the blood clot embeded while the Dr. Monday night says the blood clot should be gone and i can resume what i want, i am confused. They chalked up the numbness from Arthritiis in the neck which could lead to stroke like sensations. All i know is that i have done everything that has been asked since this happened including medicin on time religiously day to day and i quit smoking after 20 some years. Probably what saved me more than anything is that i actually eat pretty decent over the years and i stay in shape with exercise. If not, it could have been a lot worse. Still, i feel like a ticking time bomb until they tell me the blood clot is either gone or not, i want to know the results as soon as possible so i can finally relax..............
And Yes, prayers was the most imprortant and i appreciated all...
