The ship has sailed on Donovan. I don't think UK will ever ask him again and doubt he would take it now either.

No way for Bennett. I hate that style and the first time UK lost 71-38 thee fans would be up in arms.

I don't think Wright is ever going to leave Villanova unless there is a drastic administrative change. He has said he is a lifer there.

Right now Stevens is happy in the NBA. If things fell apart in Boston he could probably get another job in the league.

I would be OK with Miller even though he hasn't ever made a Final Four. he can recruit well and its probably just a matter of time before he wins it all in Arizona.
    Kentucky fan since 1971.

Beyond that list, who's left that isn't a major downgrade?

Screw Gregg Marshall. Don't want him. At this point I don't think he'd come here anyway, but that guy's a prick.
Shaka? We gonna hope he succeeds? Still don't trust him, though the Bamba signing helps.
We go for Scott Drew and I'll put my fandom on hold until he's fired or resigns. Real talk.

Really not too much of anyone else. I don't want Marshall either. He would never last at UK. Way too prickly as you said.

Shaka I think would be good. But if he succeeds at Texas he probably won't leave there. They have the money to keep him. If doesn't succeed there then I wouldn't want him.

There are some younger coaches who could be but its too early to tell. I like Bryce Drew but he's only been one season at Vandy.

Right there's the problem with him. I wouldn't trust anyone in that family.

The timing is certainly bad, but we don't know why. If Matta's health has changed for the worse, the decision might make sense.

I saw on something that McDermott of Creighton had been offered.

                    I bet it does.

Not a single name on that list is realistic. In the end, my money's on Chris Mack.

The way i see it is when Calipari is finished at Kentucky, in my opinion he is going to strongly recommend the hiring of KENNY PAYNE at Kentucky. Kenny Payne is a great recruiter and who knows, may actually know X's and O's a little better than Cal.

I actually wondered if he could do it. I have been impress by him.

Kenny Payne would not be a bad choice, IF he can handle the fan and press pressure.

Can't be no worse than Billy Gillispie and i would hate for us to hit the open market and beg for coaches like Stephens, Donovan, and others to come only to be turned down. I actually think Kenny Payne deserves a chance, he's been here through it all. Unlike Stickland and his drinking problems or Antigua who flat out failed, i think Payne is a great candidate. He obviously knows what the UK/UL rivalry is all about and his recruiting skills are off the charts....

This would be the great test. You would never know until he is in the fire.

McDermott staying at Creighton....Hoiberg also tells them no thanks. This could get ugly for OSU!
