It turns out Lonzo Ball didn't need Nike or Adidas or Under Armour after all. The former UCLA star and soon-to-be NBA lottery pick introduced his first
This guy is an idiot. That whole family has problems. When you pimp your kids out so much, it just makes sense to say they will eventually fall in line with the brainwashing. I feel sorry for this family. I am going to go out on a limb and say that shoe, or any shoe put out by the Ball's, will not be an even modest seller.
This young man is in trouble and he has no idea he is, but he will realize it when he gets to the NBA. Other than MJ, who else has their own shoe?
Their own brand, or their own signature shoe? If the latter, lots of players. Lonzo's shoe is getting trashed for being a direct ripoff of one of Kobe's models.
I thought those were named for them but made by a regular company like Nike.
Right. You're talking about guys who have their own brand. Jordan's the only one I can think of, but plenty of guys have signature models through the big names.
The Balls are straight-up stupid if they think they can compete in the shoe world.

They are valuing him and his name based on their speculation about his NBA success. If he is the second coming on Magic Johnson then this will pay off for them big time, but that is a HUGE if. Lonzo would have been better served to take whatever he could get from a major shoe sponsor given his future is very much in doubt and his dad is brand poison.

He's going to be a great player. Probably an all-star. Very reminiscent of Jason Kidd.
Not sure if he has that extra electricity that guys like LeBron and Curry and Westbrook have, but he will be a staple in the league for many, many years.

I disagree. I see bust in his future. The Jason Kidd comparisons are way overboard if you ask me.

How much you wanna bet he is never in the top 5 NBA players in terms of over all popularity? (which drives the ancillary income of his "brand")
