I am still wanting people to explain all of these calls. I have seen a number of people complain about the call on Willis. Is it the one where we stole the ball and it got a late whistle? He clearly grabbed Berry's wrist. It could have been a no call, and there were worse fouls by both teams they didn't call, but grabbing an opponents wrist is a foul. I can think of two calls in the first half that were bad. They should've called an over the back on Meeks when Briscoe had him boxed out and Fox got fouled at the end of the half. The interference on Bam was the right call.

On the lighter side, I trust none of you live in Columbus, OH. Their TV station broke in with a weather report at the every end of that game. I couldn't imagine what would happen in Kentucky if that happened. Something like this happened to me a few weeks back during a Kentucky game. I don't remember which game it was but channel 9 in DC broke in with a weather report right after halftime of a UK game and stayed with it for a while. There were some tornadoes spotted over in eastern Maryland and the weather folks were orgasmic over it. I think most of the 2nd half was missed.

North Carolina beat Kentucky in thrilling fashion to reach the Final Four on Sunday. UNC’s Luke Maye hit the game-winning jumper with just 0.3 seconds on the clock for the 75-73 win in a game that captivated everyone who saw it. Unless you live in Columbus, Ohio of course. Instead of seeing an ending for Read more...

For me it was mainly the inconsistency between what was happening on the perimeter and what they allowed in the paint.

All season long it was an issue in the SEC that touch fouls got a whistle, which inevitably led to guys on the bench. That had gone away in the tournament until last night. Touch fouls were drawing whistles while guys were mauling people inside and calls weren't made. I thought Bam on at least half of his first half possessions was drawing way more contact than what they were calling outside.

Regarding the goaltend, I'm not sure of the rule so I can't speak on it. Not sure if Maye's dunk in the second should have been called either but it's a call I have seen made.

Bamba will be here next year. He is in that mold IMO.

It's ironic that we clamor for experience but Cal's best team--2015--would have likely won the title if it had had less experience.

I liked the Harrison twins more than most. They were involved in some incredible games, obviously. But if they would have left and the team had been handed to Tyler Ulis, we win that title.

We would have had more losses. There would have obviously been growing pains. But Ulis, Booker, Towns with WCS anchoring the defense would have been fearsome had Ulis and Booker been handed the keys and gotten all those early-season minutes.

You make it sound like a statement of fact. I thought his destination was still uncertain.

OK, I've somewhat watched the game as a fan, but mostly to evaluate the officials which I posted.

Here's my take on the game. Several of our players played hustling tough defense, but not Willis or Monk. Willis one time was back under the basket and allowed their leading 3 point shooter to nail a 3. Monk was influenced by the taller man on him, and did a lot of standing around. Bam worked very hard, but was under sized by all the taller Heels. Fox was slowed by good defense, but I thought played very well. Hawk and Hump hit some timely shots and helped keep the game from getting totally away from us. Also, I don't think UNC played very well, and we had a hand in that. I agreed with the goal tending and interference calls, and ran them all in slow motion and frame by frame. Also the UNC kid kept his pivot foot still when he made that Huge breakaway shot, and he didn't walk on the last shot either.

Proud of our CATS, and can't wait to see who stays and if we get any other commitments.

What about the dunk by Maye when he hung on a little and ball went in? Off GT or no?

I think if it was Soph Ulis. Freshman Ulis and Booker would have been worn down by Tournament time and Booker had already gone ice cold....Booker especially was a huge liability on D in the Wisc game....Ulis was tough as nails even his Freshman yr so he may have been ok in the two FF games but Booker was a shell of himself in March. Who knows what would have happened but I'm not sure it's a guarantee we win it all.

I tend to think that if they would've had the run of the entire season you would have seen different (better) players by the end. Ulis was better than Andrew by the end anyway, and that's no knock on Andrew. Ulis was just that good.

The only thing is that there would've been more warts. Maybe a lot more. That's what you give with youth but you generally get it back in the postseason.

Even this team came alive in the postseason. We can knock them for not winning a title, but that was a totally different team down the stretch than it was early. You only do that by throwing the freshmen into the fire and letting them play through mistakes.

Combination of things. Cal needs his shotblocker badly, and he is putting all his efforts in to try to get this one. Usually when he does that he gets his man.

                              Hey KCKUK!

First, I'm still not sold on Gonzaga; being out west and knowing the teams they play and then to be afforded the path they had to travel to make it to the Final Four (thanks to Duke and Villanova both not doing their job) there's no way I believed they deserve to win. Also, full disclosure: my husband is from NC, when he finished his stint in the Marines he attended UNC, we lived in NC for a bit before I had to come back to CA (now that I'm a "woman of a certain age" 50 I now have a greater appreciation living in the South-probably retire southern state), too much of a "city girl"-Lol
He roots for UK as long as we are not playing UNC-Lol So the long/short that is the reason why I was ok with UNC winning the championship.
