Well, I just finished reading this thread and I don't know whether to watch the game or not. I haven't seen a second of the game, but I will watch and evaluate the officials if you guys want me too, but only then. For those of you who know me, you know I will give an unbiased evaluation. So, just say so or no.

I do think it's fair to say that the game was called a bit too tightly. UL, for example, would have had maybe 3 players still eligible with 10 minutes to go. Truth is that we STILL wanted to grab and reach while UNC was taking us to school. They simply have a few guys that are daggum difficult to guard, and when you have a guy like Malik Monk trailing Jackson for perhaps 50% of his motion and he tries to catch up by grabbing...well you make it easy for the whistles to sound off.

There were a couple times where I shouted BS at the television. Also a few replays where I wiped my brow because we got away with some holding.

I know what I saw, and most others seem to have seen the same thing. We may not all be trained officials, but we aren't blind, we aren't dumb, and we understand basketball.

Not saying we didn't deserve some of the calls against us. Just seemed like the calls only went one way.

Of course I saw a missed call here and there. Fouls were 10-10 at half. 19-18 for the game. The 2 goaltend calls everyone is complaining about IMO they got both right. I would be curious about the dunk UNC had that could have possibly been called interference. Overall I didn't see any glaring problem or think it was a bad job. And certainly had nothing to do with who won or lost the game.

One other thing I wonder about is why was the time not reviewed after the last shot. I though there should have been .4 or .5 put on the clock. Which would have at least given time for a shot rather than a tipin.

Wish Cal had used his last time out to set the defense in last 7 seconds. A young inexperienced squad might have benefited from the time out but hey what do I know.

Did Maye walk on the final shot?? There are multiple posts on other sites claiming he did. Hard to tell IMO, can't tell when he has possession of the ball before he hops into the shot.

I'm glad you posted this. I was going to if no one else had. There was one time where Briscoe grabbed a UNC player's arm, while they were fighting for a loose ball, and nothing was called.
