Kentucky vs UCLA Game Thread

I just got to watch the game on DVR. Thats one of the best performances I have seen by the cats all year. What a freaking game!!! If this team can maintain this level we are hard to beat. Just wish our road wasnt so dang tough.

We could beat UNC but still have to face Kansas. The selection guys all need to be fired. When you set up one side of the bracket to suit one team (dUKe), you screw over multiple teams. The UK bias is real folks. If it hadn't hit you since Cal has been here, then it should now. Just an unreal gauntlet. Piss on you NCAA.

Couldn't UNC and UCLA fans just as easily say that there's bias against them? A top-heavy bracket like ours isn't good for anyone involved.

Shouldn't that be expected from Barney? Yeah, yeah, yeah, he has to leave the room when UK is being discussed. They showed him a lot of respect while he was out, huh?

But he was damn sure in the room and part of it when they gave dUKe their ride and Gonzaga the easy ride.

We would have been far better off if Barney had never even heard of the committee.

We got a tough draw...but it was either going to be Kansas or Carolina. They weren't going to send us West, and they weren't going to send us East with the overall #1.

UCLA was a tough 3...but many prognosticators had them as a 4 for much of the season, and they punished them by bringing them out to Memphis.

Wichita St. was the only crap move but clearly they set that game up for TV by sliding Wichita out of the 8/9 to line them up with us. They did that with a few other teams though and not just Kentucky, and they've done it for years with all kinds of programs.

Of the many things I liked about last night's game was how engaged the bench was. They were standing, screaming, and cheering throughout the game. Great to see.

If UK were to win a championship by beating all of those teams then that would be one of the best championship runs of all time. Think about it, UCLA a three,UNC a one,Kansas a one and then maybe Gonzaga in the finals, another one. I'm not sure anyone has won a championship running a gauntlet like that.

One thing about UCLA. They didn't have the fire to them that Wichita did. At around the five minute mark of the 2nd half you could sense they had nearly given up. Not completely but a lot of air went out of them. Wichita just kept coming at UK and didn't stop until the horn sounded. That says a lot about the two programs IMO.

I agree. It seemed like when we were up 10 with about 6 min to go, they just folded the tent.
