Nope, maybe third or fourth, and that's only if they get both Porter kids and the East St. Louis kid.

One stud doesn't change a program....just look at Fultz and Simmons, last two #1 picks that didn't even make the tourney.

Will finish 2nd in the SEC with 25-6 regular season record and number 2 seed in the NCAA tourney. Number 4 recruiting class plus top 3 scorers return.

Mizzou is going to be really good. Not a 2 seed but they will definitely compete for SEC title. People don't understand how good Porter is. They had some solid players last year and added a great recruiting class. Wouldn't be surprised at all if they beat UK at Mizzou next year.

I doubt it. People don't appreciate what a job it was for Cal to get that first team to play as well as they did. Cuonzo would have to replicate something near that in order to compete for a conference title, but he's not even close to the caliber of coach as Cal.

They'll be good, and they should make the tournament, but I still say it'll be a couple or three years before Mizzou's threatening Kentucky in any real way.

The SEC is going to probably be the best it's been since the Joakim Noah days. I went to the SEC Tournament the year LSU and Florida were both in the Final Four and was shocked at the level of play. The league hasn't been nearly that good since.

A lot of talent in the league this season. I thought last year was a marked improvement and it continues to get better.

The reason is pretty easy to see. Big-name coaches bring top-flight players. Auburn, Missouri, Florida, Texas A&M, Alabama, and of course Kentucky all have a shot to make a run at the SEC title IMO.

More good teams in the SEC is good for Kentucky. League play will be more difficult, but I'm glad to see a vast improvement in the talent level.

^^^ I'm with you Light this season going to be a lot more competitive and I'm looking forward to that. USC, Florida, Mizz, Ala are not going to be guaranteed league game wins...we are not coasting through the SEC schedule this season.
