Top level college players, but not NBA first rounders by any means. Like we have talked about before, Roy seems to have a ton of Mcdonalds all americans that turn into good college players but not quite good enough to go pro so he gets to have them for 3-4 years. It obviously has worked out for him the last two years.....Jackson & Paige just to name a few.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread......it has stayed on track pretty well.

That's correct. Saw that on the news tonight.

Mitchell leaving is huge not just for UofL but for college basketball. Opens up the field in a pretty profound way.

Mitchell might've made a run at the Naismith next year. Without him UofL looks like a prototypical good-but-not-great team.

If Alkins goes to the NBA and if Ayton is ineligible, which I tend to think might happen, that knocks Arizona down and it opens up even more. Going to be a highly interesting season.

^^^ So does that just leave the tripper coming back? They are definitely going to be on a 7 man rotation if they don't shore up more commitments from this last group of undecided players.

Old thread but i will bring it back to life. The La Lakers are taking Fox not Ball with the number 2 pick in the draft, mark it down.

From what I've read and heard, Josh Jackson is more likely to the Lakers now than Fox or Ball....

Looking like Fox will go 4th or 5th

I don't think so. Fox and Magic Johnson have been together per reports along with DeAndre's father, Lakers are high on him. Besides, why draft Jackson when you have Ingram and a year away from signing PG13(Paul George) in a year or so? There are also reports that Lebron may play one more year in Cleveland and head out west to become a Laker. Lebron has a home in LA, his kids are enrolled in school in LA, and i think he's accomplished what he wanted for the city of Cleveland.

That's insane. Why would he choose to struggle through the rebuilding process AGAIN at that stage in his career?

Because the Lakers are the Lakers and have plenty of money to spend in regards to cap space and it's the biggest market in the NBA. You add George with Ingram, Randle, DeAngelo Russell , Lebron, Wade(?), and another big or veteran who's will to take a pay cut to play for a Championship, it's not rebuild, it all starts now.............

We shall see. If Deangelo was as good as advertised coming out of Ohio State, i would agree. The fact he has not lived up to expectations at the point guard spot makes me think the Lakers still want a future point guard. Again, Paul George has pretty much made it clear he's going to be a Laker after this year when he hits free agency. He's from California, he's a long time Laker fan, the off court business opportunities in LA, he is going to be a Laker. If they do draft Jackson, either George or Jackson will have to play the 4 spot..............

Looking at mock drafts, why would the Suns take a point guard with Bledsoe, Knight, and Ulis on the roster?

Why would the Twolves take Dennis Smith of NC state with Rubio, Dunn, and T. Jones of Duke on the roster at the point guard spot?

Luke Kennard going 12th??? 12th?????? Luke Kennard???? They actually play defense in the NBA and guys guarding have long wing spans and can run and jump out the gym, best be able to create your own shot.

...Lakers could be on there way (in a couple years) to build this generations "Super Team" 3.0
