About how we are peaking and playing better defense, Bam is peaking, blah blah blah. We are the same team we have been all year. A very unimpressive win in which we were out scored in the second half. I would love to be wrong but I just dont see this as our year. I haven't been excited about this team in weeks. I was in the beginning but the formula for beating us is out there. We haven't looked great since we were running early in the season. Others have the right to disagree but I see the same team now that I saw squeak out victories in one of the weaker major conferences in the country. I still love my cats and I hope to win it all. Being objective is hard for a fan but just seems we are what we are at this point.

If Monk doesn't wake up we are toast, he will have to be hot for us to beat UCLA or UNC. I wasn't that impressed with Wichita State, not nearly as exsplosive offensively as they have been in the past, I think we beat them, but if Monk doesn't wake up from whatever funk he is in we go no further. -
I agree. I think we have the talent to go a long way, perhaps all the way. Inconsistency is our Achilles Heel. I don't believe this team can play, at the level needed to win the NC, five games in a row.About how we are peaking and playing better defense, Bam is peaking, blah blah blah. The team we saw in the SEC Tournament was really improved.
Team we saw last night was the LSU/Missouri team.
This isn't the sort of group that can just coast, have a guy splash a couple of threes, and all of a sudden the lead is at 20 and the other team has quit. It has to be 40 minutes of focused attention.Comment

Yep. Gotta admit that I'm getting worried about Monk, too. Guy's not right. The team we saw in the SEC Tournament was really improved.

I'm not worried about Monk, I'm accusing him. You don't have to be dialed in to dive for balls. You don't have to see the strings rustle to mix it up. It doesn't take rhythm to set a screen.
He was the absolute second worst player on the floor, and, to be blunt, he deserves to be shamed for it.
What I saw from him last night was so Carmelo Anthony it turned my stomach.Last edited by Katmendo; 03-18-2017, 10:08 AM.👍 1Comment

No, and quit the childishness. Instead, let's be fair and note that the best, most talented, player on the floor, needs to be shamed, because he willfully quit on the team, and refused to demonstrate any effort to assist the team in winning. He wouldn't defend, wouldn't rebound, wouldn't set screens, and more. Once he didn't get the success he wanted, shooting the ball, he pouted and "took his ball" and went home.
Fact.

Your last couple of posts are the only things deserving of shame.
