Virtually the only luck Kentucky has gotten is in 2012, when we played Baylor instead of Duke (we won) and in 2013, when we played UConn in the title game (we lost).

The lack of upsets in front of us in the tournament has been pretty weird. There was a time when Florida was playing double digit seeds every year.

I'm not sure there are going to be a whole lot of upsets in this tournament in the first two days. A 12 will beat a 5, maybe two 12's, that's inevitable. But it's not like last year where there's a ton of softness at the top. This year there are no great teams but a bunch of good teams in the top 3 seeds, and the bubble was historically soft. I don't think you'll see mass craziness with this bracket because of that.

The thing about it, the further you go then the team you are playing is playing as well as you or maybe better. So no matter who you play in the Sweet 16, Elite 8 or Final Four its going to be a tough game.

Nope. Give me a road that includes NKU, ETSU, Penn, Iona, and Grambling State. All I want is a championship and I don't care who we beat (or don't beat) to get it.

I wouldn't mind an easy path for once.

Yeah. It isn't out of some sense of honor to the sport or ideal makeup of a national champion. It's that we want the perceived benefits, too.

The only time easy brackets are mentioned is now, before any of the games are played.

Nobody talks about easy runs when guys are up there on ladders cutting away nets.

Like last year's team, I have no high expectations for this team and am just going to enjoy the ride as far as it goes. Guess I have mellowed out as I got older.

I guess I missed something so would someone explain to me why in the East and South regions, in the 11th slot, there are 2 teams listed? I thought there were only 2 play-in games.

Yeah, and I think it's a crock that 4 teams that won their tournament and earned a bid have to play in them. I guess it allows 2 of them to say they won a tournament game but I think an auto bid should get you into the real tournament and not a play-in game.
