    The Official Selection Sunday Thread

The final leg of the journey is here, folks, and tonight we get our first look at Kentucky's path to number nine.

We know that today's win won't make a difference when the brackets are revealed, but I think it's pretty safe to say that we were squarely on the two-line, regardless. I've had my doubts about this team, but there's no denying that they've turned a corner and are heating up at the right time. The defense looks better, our seniors are stepping up in a big way, Bam's figuring out how to be his best self, Monk's shaking off that "slump," and Fox is consistently the deadliest player on the floor in the final minutes of the game. Can't ask for much more than that.

Could the right match-up kill us? Sure - as is also the case for everyone else. There are definitely teams I don't want to have to play, but I'll say this: If I'm an opposing coach and I see a looming matchup with Kentucky, I'm not happy.

    CATS.

      My wager:

Kentucky gets the 2 in North Carolina's region. Region final in Memphis. We start our journey in Indy.

There you go! That's what I'm talkin about. The way this team is set up right now is as much as we can ask for as fans. Clearly peaking and clicking at the right time....tee it up and see what happens....

Yep, safe bet. Let's do it.

I am really interested to see where Oregon is seeded, Baylor is seeded and where Duke goes. I simply do not want Louisville in UK's region. I will be nervous on everybody I see in UK's bracket to be honest. But the worst I ever felt was seeing UAB in Kentucky's region. I knew in my gut that game was going to be a war.

Lot of speculation that Duke will be a 1 seed

We get lucky this year. Cakewalk. SEC Conference championship mattered.
No way the committee engineers unavoidable drama games. No deliberate intent to create a UK/UNC elite eight.
Nope. No deliberately trying to recreate tournaments past.

Nope. Just good ole fashioned merit based seeding.

And, now that the BS meter has spiked and broken, wait to see the gauntlet we get.

That would be my guess as well. Sure hope the Indy part of this is right. If not I have some tickets for sale.

Yep and UL will be the three seed in the region. I called this over a week ago and still think it will happen. We will know shortly.

Joey Brackets has Louisville as the 3 out West.

That would suck because I would have loved that draw.

                          Probably. Makes too much sense.

I don't see Duke as a 1. Think they will be a 2, and should be.

I would now. 2 days ago I thought Oregon was the team to beat. But losing Boucher changes that totally. If it's Gonzaga 1 and Oregon 2 being out there would be great.
