Game Thread: Arkansas vs. Kentucky

I watched the end of the game last night. I will give the officials credit for handling a bad situation very well. Lot of times they will cave on giving a flagrant two. They handled that very well. They should have went a step further and just pulled Arkansas off the floor and stopped the game. It was obvious they just wanted to fight at that point.

I wanted Cal to pull his team off the floor. An injury or suspension caused by that would have not been good. I thought UK showed a lot of restraint to not retaliate when it became obvious what was going on.

At that point pulling UK off the floor would have resulted in a forfeit. However, if we had reacted to either of the intentional fouls, and especially the flagrant 2, benches would have emptied and the game would have been called. Cal did a masterful job coaching his team through that mess.

I had the same thought. Especially thinking back to the last Arkansas game where they were happy to retaliate or jaw back whenever their guys started in with that stupid stuff, I thought the guys did a good job of laughing it off this time.

Mike Anderson is such a low character piece of garbage, though. He was standing there condoning this crap and sending out his staff to taunt our players before the game. That's bush league stuff. I wish our team would've refused to shake hands at the end.

OK, maybe I misspoke. I wanted the starters and anyone who played meaningful minutes off the floor. I didn't want to do the Knight trick and pack up and leave.

And yeah, kicking their a** all over the gym is the ideal way to laugh it off.

Yeah I rolled my eyes when coach came on PF show...I liked that Paul gave Dicky V opportunity to say his side which I totally agreed with. I'm proud of our young men for holding back not throwing blows...

Well, I turned the television in our room off right as the game was tipping and turned it back on right as the clock was hitting 0, so I didn't see a second of it. Which was fine by me. So I didn't get to see Dom or De'Aaron have their day.

Named her Riley, which, unintentionally, I suppose you could relate to Kentucky basketball.
