I think this is a unanimous opinion....limit turnovers and avoid droughts on offense, keep up the D and they have as good a chance as anyone....

The thing people must remember is that every other team has several things they must do as well....

The thing that concerns me is there are some teams, Duke for example, that seem to be getting it together at the right time, while we seem to think we can have lapses and still win. As we've seen, over the past few games, that will work against the Georgias and Bamas of the world, but I doubt if it will work against quality teams.

I thought the teams here in Nashville were quality teams that we wouldn't/couldn't beat? That changes once we beat them and they are then no good?

dUKe only won their last 2 games because of foul trouble by the other teams.

We have a little time at the room to reflect on what we have witnessed in the SEC tourney over the Cal era. I've now seen 21 games in the tourney since Cal got here. Tomorrow will be 22. The most we could have played is 24 counting tomorrow. We are 18-3 in the 21 completed games.

And led by freshmen the whole time.

And the only year we didn't make the title game was when Nerlens got hurt.

Cal always has us rounding into form at the end of the season. Some years it takes a little longer but he always gets us there.

4 final fours in 7 season bears that out. I've been saying all season that this will make 5 FF's in 8 seasons.

Yet some UK fans continue to doubt. I will never understand that.

UNC is the best team in the ACC. We already beat them on a neutral court. And we will again if we need to.

We only lost one unexplainable game this season. At Florida. That was just a beatdown. The other 4 losses could have been wins with just a couple or three different plays. With freshmen leading the way!!

UCLA peaked in Dec. Az is many people's darling now. They have been blown out more than once this year. And they have a coach that needs a road map to find the final four.

I just can't understand the negativity for this program at a UK website. Of course I understand doubters and antis at rival sites and the general public. But at a UK website?

I don't know who said that, it certainly wasn't me. I very well may have said something to the effect that if we didn't play a full game we could get beat. You don't have to be playing a Duke, UNC, U of L etc. for that to be true. I have little respect for the quality of bb played in the SEC by anyone other than UK.

Fox and that OVC player won this game for UK today. Monk finally broke out of his slump. Our two fours didn't show up at all today but that's the way its been all year. They gritted out a win and that's good for this time of year. The officiating was horrid today. Tony Greene is beyond pathetic. He should have been retired at least five years but the good ole SEC keeps bringing him back. UK gets Arkansas tomorrow. UK matches up well with them and the Razorbacks will run. Should be a great game. These two played some great games in the SEC tournament in the 90's. The 95 game is still one of my all time favorites.

Willis hit a couple big threes and blocked a shot and Gabriel got 4 boards and made one good offensive move....need more from those guys to make a run. Willis gave up way more than he scored, and was non existent in the paint on both ends...

That's the earliest game that I can vividly remember. I remember games from prior seasons, of course, but that '95 tourney game is a standout for me.

I agree, Lighthouse. I didn't see the entire game, but what I did see Vandy was terrible. They couldn't have thrown the ball in the ocean, if they had been standing on the dock, yesterday.

Arkansas just ran Vandy to death.

Will be interesting to see how the game is played today. Arkansas tried to run with us earlier and we crushed them. We struggle way more with deliberate teams who will ball screen you to death and run the shot clock under five every time down. That's obviously not Arkansas' game.

Vandy just had nothing left in the tank. Ark got hot for a 5 minute stretch and that won the game. They made 5 threes all game and they made them all during that stretch. If they are hitting those it'll be close. I, however, expect about a 15 point win... 80-65 Cats.
