Call me crazy but the last two games against Florida and Vandy at critical turning points of the game, Bam has been the guy on top of the key defending the point and the game changed. I heard the announcer last night in the first half make the comment that Bam couldn't defend out there and I laughed, which Bam is he talking about, not the one that plays for Kentucky lol lol lol.. Bam is becoming D. Liggins out there, not sure if it's Cal's plan or something that just happened the last two games....

I had a sinking feeling at that point also, but they dug deep and that should help come tourney time.

It was at 25-6. Vandy was hitting everything and UK was laying bricks.

Bam had to go out to guard their 7 footer that shot great, and when he was screened, he switched and did a good job.

He was switching out top in that Florida game as well and that' when the game changed around and Kentucky finally put them away. Regardless, Bam has come full circle in all facets of the game and his post play and rebounding is heads and shoulders above than a month ago. Maybe it's the diet he's on now, I don't know

I think of all our freshmen, he wants to get better more. I also think he's learning because he wants to. I guess that's the same.

Saw a few times he got switched onto Lechance and stayed with him. He has definitely improved his play immensely in the past month.

If we could stay away from Georgia and Vandy in the SEC Tournament I wouldn't be disappointed.

It's no secret why we struggle with both. Both are very methodical on the offensive end. They'll try and burn clock more often than not. And they both run you off a ton of ball screens, which this team hasn't guarded well all year.

J.J. Frazier will probably score 60 and hit 15 threes if we play Georgia next week.

UK will play the winner of 8/9 game on Friday. UGA is in the mix to be one of those teams. Vandy could fall into one of those slots too.

I say lets play them both. Make it as hard as possible. Maybe learn a little something and get better at guarding what you struggle with. Think it's too late to get good against it but couldn't we hope for better? Most NCAA games are going to be more like Vandy and Georgia so they have to be prepared to play that way.

And we all know winning the SEC tournament means very little. So if they do lose it's not a huge deal.

Good points...but it is a bummer to lose before Sunday. I love watching that weekend and when Kentucky loses it knocks the wind out of the whole thing.

But you're right: it will mean literally nothing for our seed. Though if we lose I'll almost guarantee they'd punish us for it.

Yeah, that weekend is great if UK is playing. But seeing Fla- Georgia or any other game you can make up in the final does nothing for me.

I think they are a 2 at best 3 at worst regardless of what happens.

I think the only teams from the major conferences that re effected next week are the bubble teams. IMO everyone is seeded and placed by Friday. They are just waiting to see what upsets happen in the conference tourneys.
You had better believe the higher ups in the SEC want UK there all weekend. Its basically crickets in the stands if they are not. I'm sure the SEC loses a ton of money when UK is out early. Not to mention the businesses in the area.

I don't know about that. I think this year there's going to be some movement at the top simply because the teams are really packed together.

The Pac-12 tournament is going to impact seeding, as is the ACC. Teams are going to move up if they can make it to the title game. If Louisville, for example, can run to the finals of that tournament then they lock in a 2. UCLA is still in play for a 1 and if they're playing on the final day then they'll be right there.

Some teams are going to be set. Kansas, probably Villanova. But think about a team like Butler...that's a team that could lose early and open the door or it could run to the finals and end up with a 2.

I could see them leaving the door open to those three from the PAC 12. They are pretty even. They may give the winner of that conference tourney a one seed and the other two a two seed. I think UL will be a two no matter what. If UNC beats Duke this Saturday they will probably get a one. You know they aren't going pass over an ACC team for a one seed.
