Our guards are not good rebounders. Achilles heel or nothing to worry about?

Aaron and Andrew are of course tall for collegiate guards but, am I wrong to think that being 6'6" should equate to more rebounds? Aaron so far this season has seen his RPG numbers drop this season from 3.0 last year to 2.2 RPG this season. Andrew has also dropped from 3.2 RPG last season to 2.1 RPG so far this season. Devin Booker also at 6'6" averages 1.2 RPG's.
Ulis is 2.1 RPG's seems good for his size.

Legends at UK like Frank Ramsey a 6'3" Guard averaged ~11 RPG for his three year career. Tony Delk averaged 3.5 RPG Eric Bledsoe 3 RPG and John Wall 4.3 RPG Jodi Mekks 3 RPG

Tyus Jones for Duke at 6'1" is averaging 3.6 RPG

Should our guards be better rebounders?

I agree to a point. None of the players you mention had as many Bigs as this years team has, so that could equate to less rebounds. But I still feel they should be rebounding better because a lot of our opponents shots are 3 pt try's and they should be picking up those long rebounds.

I think that is the work in progress on this team this year. Last year we talked about this a little. I think one guard should always be back, usually the one on the strong side of the ball. Then the weak side guard crash down on the boards. We do not seem to do that. Maybe they will before the BIG DANCE.

When we start worrying about guards rebounding you know we have a good team.

The guards should absolutely be better rebounders. Cal's talked about it for two years. It's why you see those long kicks get jumped on by other teams so often.

Booker wants to leak out and get lay-ups. Ulis does well for his size but he's small. The Harrisons don't have that electricity in their game; they get beat to the ball a lot by quicker players.

Maybe not a huge deal but it's definitely something you notice.

While the guards could be better rebounders, we can't compare last years numbers to this year for Andrew and Aaron as they have gone from 30 something minutes to 20 something minutes. Aarons 2.1 RPG should equate to something like 3.5 adjusted.
