    Basketball Question # 6.

A1 loses his or her contact lens during play. During the next dead ball, the lens is found after a 30-second search. A1 replaces the lens immediately and wishes to remain in the game. Is this allowed?

    A. No. A1 must be substituted out of the game.
    B. Yes. A1 may remain in the game.
    C. A1 may only remain in the game if team A calls a timeout.

        Hmm....I'm going B or C on this one. I'll go with B. I don't think a timeout is needed.

          I believe it's A.

This actually happened in the Harvard/Auburn game yesterday. Auburn's big man got his contact knocked loose (not out), but he had to remove it and put it back in. He was taken out but I'm not sure if Pearl just removed him or if he had to go to the bench.

          Still going A.

The correct answer to question # 6,

is B for College Men, C for College Women, and B for HS.

RULE 5; Scoring and Timing Regulations.

            Section 16. No Timeout Charged.
Art. 1. No timeout shall be charged when:
            b. The clock was stopped and a reasonable amount of time was used to
remedy a lost or displaced eyeglass or contact lens situation.
