    More transfers in

Kentucky adds a large X-wide receiver to the 2025 transfer portal class. J.J. Hester has multiple connections in Lexington.

Zach Calzada is finishing his career where it started, in the SEC. The college football journeyman is transferring to Kentucky.

Running back Ahmad Hardy committed to Missouri. UK now looking at Nebraska RB Dante Dowdell.

Good gets. I like Calzada, he was good before he got hurt at TAM. I think he beat Bama. I watched Incarnate Word in the FCS Playoffs and he seems to have some swagger. That might be what's needed at QB

I've heard it said that QB's, Point Guards and Shortstops are the three positions in sports that need players with swagger.

I realize people are going to be mad until we win some games, but I like everyone we have gotten so far.

They have done about as well as they could in the portal. Stinks to lose Dylan Ray though.

I was beginning to love our offensive line room until we lost Ray and Keenum today. Those were unexpected hits.

I hadn’t seen the news about Keenum.

Kendrick Law just committed from Alabama. He was mainly their return guy and it seems like he had the green light to bring any kick out. He averaged 24 yards per return last year. Watching his highlights, he took some hand offs and was used quite a bit on those "passes" where he runs in front of the QB and they flip it forward after receiving the snap. Law was a track star in high school. With him, Hester, and Maclin I REALLY like our starting receiver group.

FWIW, there are a number of Bama fans that feel as if Law was under utilized this past season and are upset they lost a potential play maker.

DT Jaden Williams from Wyoming committed! He's 6'4 almost 300 pounds. Took a RS year and played two years with what sounds like quite a bit of reps this year. Big numbers for stats aren't there, but he's good enough that Georgia offered him and was trying to get a visit. Stoops and co had a big day today, and I really like the guys they're bringing in.

Also locked up Dante Dowdell today, the RB from Nebraska. A big back who had over 600 yards last year for the Huskers. He converted almost 90% of his 3rd and short runs into first downs, which UK only did about 30% of the time last year. Should be a very good piece next to Wilcox. If Stoops is going to stick with his style of ground and pound, eat the clock to preserve the defense, he's at least owning it and bringing in the right pieces.

CB Kevis Thomas is coming from Maryland. He's 6'0 180 and started eight games this past season for the Terps. He totaled 21 tackles and had two pass break ups. He had a nice offer list out of high school with Georgia and Tennessee in his top eight, but I'm not sure who was interested in him this time around.

Here's a picture of the current incoming portal class. The TE from Illinois also has two years of eligibility, but my screen shot cut it off.

I can't say anything bad about any of these guys. They want to play and think they can have a shot at improving. Hope they do.

Evan Wibberley, the C from WKU, committed today. He was a depth piece his RS FR year and earned Freshmen all conference honors. He was also an all conference player this past season, playing over 900 snaps and not giving up a sack. He's 6'5 300 pounds, so Stoops is bringing in some serious size on the line. He'll have two years of eligibility.
