not UK related: Tez Walker appeal denied

Boy, sure didn't see this coming. I know the NCAA has been saying that they would be tough on waivers of the sit out for a year rule for players who have previously transferred. The appeal by Tez Walker who transferred to UNCheat seem like a slam dunk to be approved. However, the NCAA has just denied UNC's final appeal and he will have to sit out a year. You can read the details here:

The big question now is will they be as tough on players who have transferred once under the new rule and request a waiver for a second move. Walker's first transfer was prior to the new rule. Previously the NCAA has not factored in a transfer waiver under the old rules.

If I was North Carolina, I'd just play him.

The NCAA is a useless, neutered organization and they don't hold the chips anymore.

So, now the NCAA has decided N Carolina's Walker can play this year after all. They blame the school for not providing needed information. I doubt this is what actually occurred. .Sounds like the NCAA is covering their .

After he's missed nearly half the season. Better late than never I guess.
