    Jager Burton— Commits to UK!

The four star offensive lineman from Kentucky is announcing Sunday. His top five from all accounts are UK, Clemson, Ohio State, and Alabama. He's announcing his decision at KSBar in Lexington. That has to be a good sign, right? He's the number one player in the state and arguably the most sought after recruit our state has produced in ten years.

This would be arguably the biggest get in Stoops' time here.

He's a little light for an OL'man. Will he redshirt?.

We're to the point now that a RS will be the goal for every freshman we bring in. But, Burton might be good enough to push for some playing time.

We are potentially losing four starters after this year so we could end up being pretty inexperienced next season. I think we could see Fortner come back for another year of eligibility with the NCAA ruling this year won't count, but only if he's a 4th round pick or later and could really up his stock. Another thing with him is his education is really important to him. He could use another year of free school and maybe finish his master's degree. If him and Horsey are both back I don't see Burton breaking into the two deep for more than three four allotted games to keep his RS. But if Luke leaves that could open up a spot depending on how the younger guys develop.

I just browsed through the roster. The guards we have on scholarship this year are Fortner, Horsey, Flax, and Cox. We all know Stoops loves guys who can play inside and out but next year our guard spot will be very inexperienced. There's probably two or three other guys who I would expect move inside like Adams and there's been talk of Young. Either way, Burton will only have to beat out one or two RS freshmen/sophomores to get some serious playing time his true freshman year.

He's got the frame to allow him to bulk up. I'd say, when he gets on campus, he'll be in the 300-325 range, if not bigger, before too long.

He's extremely athletic. They pull him a lot because he's so good at getting to the second and third level of a defense, where he literally tosses guys around. There's a few clips of him in his junior year film where he blocks a LB, tosses him to the ground, and is almost just as quick as his RB to the secondary. He's fast, powerful, and plays mean.

He would be the highest rated interior lineman to commit to UK since rivals started ranking recruits in 2002.

Absolutely huge get. No doubt this opens eyes of some big time recruits around the country, but also those kids in the state that were looking elsewhere. Less than a year ago he was virtually a Clemson lock, then was thought to be an OSU lean. This is huge.

Really good commit. Maybe next year, likely year after.
