Recruiting Roundup: Gavin Wimsatt’s Rise and Addressing Corner

Crootin’ season never stops in the college football world and here at KSR we are going to keep you updated on all of the ins and outs with Kentucky’s class of 2021 in addition to what you need to know nationally. COVID-19 has slowed down everything, but somehow it has helped speed up recruiting.

KSR’s Recruiting Roundup is where you will find everything important that has happened on the trail. All eyes are focused on 2021, but some vital legwork is being done for the class of 2022.

I'm still so excited to realize Kentucky Football is competing with the Bigs in recruiting very good players. I absolutely Love it!

If the new OC sticks around very long, with the new system he's installing, I believe you're going to see UK recruiting fewer run first and pass second QB's and more Beau Allen types. This could have something to do with Terry transferring.

Best of luck to Mr Wimsatt. No one knows why kids make their choices, it finally comes up to just them. Rutgers has been making a little noise lately...and theres a historic campus and a short Amtrac trip to the whole east coast if he wishes to see the sites....including NY proper, DC, Virginia, and on and on.

It could be given coach Stoops loyalty to upper year kids that Wimsatt felt he may not have the opportunity to start as quick as at Rutgers......and thats not saying Wimsatt is 'scared of competition' its the 'why on earth is Rose starting in front of ....' deal.

CMS has shown tremendous loyalty to kids that are there longer, even when it seems to us as fans that others are "clearly" better players.
AND theres that old bugaboo that a good load of kids when they go to college dont want to be close to home....period. We have gotten the benefit of more than one of those kids. Bryant, Still, Ramsey, Allen...you name it....were more than a couple hours from home.

It will take a year or two for Coach Coen to attract players to his system....mainly because this is his first ride in that OC chair. Nobody (including him) knows for sure what he is gonna do.
