    Jordan Lovett commits to Kentucky

I think it’s easy to determine Mark Stoops and his staff’s favorite game.

Today, they got to play a little more Yahtzee, as Kentucky picked up a commitment from Jordan Lovett, a safety from North Hardin in Radcliff, Kentucky. He announced the decision this morning on Kentucky Sports Radio.

The 6-2, 195-pound Lovett is ranked as 3-star safety by both Rivals and 247 Sports in the Class of 2021. He is ranked as the 5th-best player in the state by Rivals.com and the 7th-best player in the state by 247.

Among the other schools who offered Lovett include Louisville, Tennessee, West Virginia, Missouri, Boston College, Purdue, Georgia Tech and Cincinnati among others. This is one that Stoops and co. really wanted and will be glad to have in Lexington.

Great get, in my opinion. Now if we can get Jager Burton to come on board.

He played defense for the first time this past season and led the nation in interceptions. I look for him to skyrocket in the rankings throughout this year and firmly believe if he would've played DB his first two years of high school he would be considered a high four star. I look for him to pick up some more high profile offers but I don't think he's going anywhere.

Burton has recently posted on Twitter pictures of him in the UK uniform and has already announced he'll be an early enrollee. It seems like we have a legitimate shot but I know he was very high on Clemson at one point.

With his weight at 195, I wonder if strong safety is a possibility?

He will bulk up once he gets on campus, for sure. There's a big difference in the weight training resources on campus vs high school. The thing with him is that his instincts are so darn good you almost want him with as much freedom as possible in the passing game. I'm not sure strong safety would be his best position, but if they can put some weight on him and not hurt his ability and quickness it certainly could be.

His interview on KSR seemed to imply that as a possibility. He seems to see himself in the Lonnie Johnson mold.

With his instincts and at 210-215 and not lose any speed, he would be a beast at SS.
