If he is enrolling early shouldn't he be submitting some paperwork soon? He would be on campus in two months so it seems like he should be enrolling in classes soon.

Early signing period begins December 21 so he can't sign a LOI until then. He could sign financial papers but that doesn't bind him to the University.

I'm talking more on the education side. When do students have to enroll who plan on taking classes in the spring semester? It starts the middle of January, correct?

November 28, 2017 -- Tuesday - Final deadline for submission of application and all required documents to the Office of Admissions for undergraduate admission for the 2018 Spring Semester

That is just to apply.

Then to register:

January 8 -- Monday - “see blue” U Orientation and Registration for new freshmen and transfer students who have been cleared for admission but did not priority register including registration for Evening and Weekend

anuary 10-17 -- Wednesday through Wednesday - Late registration for returning students who did not priority register and new applicants cleared late for admission. A late fee is assessed students who register late.

January 17 -- Wednesday - Last day to add a class for the 2018 Spring Semester

So in theory he has until Jan 17th to enroll or not.

Call me skeptical but I'm not sure he is as sold on UK as people think. For a guy who is supposedly enrolling in school in January to still be taking visits is concerning to me.
