It really bothers me that we are losing Jacob Lacey, to notre dame, of all places. He is supposed to be a freakishly good DT. That is a critical position of need and seems to be a position that is always very difficult to recruit. Then, a kid like Lacey comes along -- in state -- and he gets away.

It's just something that we're going to have to accept. When we're going head to head with the big dogs, we're going to lose out most of the time. It'll probably be that way until we reach the point (if we ever do) where we're winning eight or nine games a season and going to an upscale bowl.

People I know who went to Miami of Ohio really enjoyed it. It's a good school and it has a surprisingly rich football history for a school of its type. Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, Ara Parseghian, Bill Mallory, Jim Tressel, Kevin Wilson, Randy Walker, Terry Hoepner, Bill Arnsparger - all are former Miami coaches.
