Don't think UofL's offensive line is better. Their o-line seems to be pretty poor while our o-line might be the strength of our team.

In all other aspects they appear to be better. I don't think Jackson is going to be what makes the score a nightmare as much as their run defense. I'm afraid we're not going to be able to do the one thing against them that we have to do to have a shot.

As long as they don't steal our match plan I think we will win by 3 points.

We need to have added security for our game plan. That's the only way we win.

I think this game will be closer than most think. But I don't think UK will win in the end.

Their QB, aside from being the Heisman frontrunner, is the exact sort of QB that we have not been able to stop over the course of my thirty-two years.

            Their coaching is better.

            Their lines are better.

            It's at Louisville.

They've regressed in their play, but then again, so have we.

They got embarrassed by Houston and are going to be angry.

            We're gonna get smoked.
Just a couple of things there I would have a problem with.

I would say UK actually compares well at the skill positions with of course the glaring exception at QB. Put Jackson on the UK team and the numbers would be staggering.

UK's O- line is far better than UL.

Their run defense is good. But with the exception of FSU (who was playing from way behind) UK is the best rushing team they have played. A schedule of Wake, BC, Syracuse, NC State, Virginia will make a good run defense look great. Even the good teams- Clemson and Houston aren't teams that line up and run the ball down your throat.

I won't argue the coaching aspect. But the things I listed in my original post show that Petrino isn't the almighty like people think.

The Houston game may have them angry. Or the hangover of coming out totally unprepared, getting manhandled and pissing away a shot at making the playoff may have them going through the motions

We may well get blown out. But I really expect it to be competitive.

All good points. I didnt think anyone could beat Louisville like Houston did. It could very well be a little bit of their schedule which is actually why they were outside of the playoffs. If we can keep scoring with them anything can happen. I do feel we cant stop them from scoring. iF they watched teh AP cut back we are doomed.

In my opinion, it will come down to whose strength (their rushing def.) vs. our strength (the running game) is the most successful.

A UK win won't entirely shock me, but I just don't see the Cats winning, as much as I want them to.

                  UL - 37
                  UK - 20

I think UofL is going to beat us, I thought we'd have a chance to win until Houston beat them. We might still have a chance if we can continue to control the clock and keep Jackson off the field.

They might have a good run defense but we've been able to run the ball against some decent SEC defenses ( Bama the only team to really stop the run) and we line up in a formation where everyone in the stadium knows what we're going to do and we still get 4 or 5 yards consistantly. We have a shot but I'm not very optimistic.

Why do so many think we will get blasted because Louisville may be annoyed due to the Houston loss ?
Maybe our guys might me a bit pissed that we couldn't pull off a win against Georgia that we should have had, or maybe because we put up 600 + of offense against UT and still lost.

Maybe we would have a better chance if Louisville would have been good enough to blow out a very good Houston team ?
Seems the secret to success on the field has been discovered .......... Just be more pissed off than your opponent.

Alabama must have been mad as hell these past several seasons.

First, Alabama is so good they don't have to be mad at a team to destroy them. Second, with our past experience stopping QB's who were not as good as Jackson, unless CS comes up with a defensive miracle, we're not going to stop him. I think we will run the ball with some success, how much seccess, we'll have to wait and see. I believe our CATS will play hard and leave it all on the field, but I also believe UL is better than UGA and UT.

I have tried to be reasonable but I have watched Louisville this year and I have watched us. Our only chance is to keep the ball on offense the entire game. I feel Louisville will score every time they have the ball. Our defense is horrible. I keep going back and forth thinking of ways we can make it competitive but I keep coming back to the fact we are gonna get blitzed. Would love to be wrong.
