Does this mean they are getting close to having an SEC quality O and D lines? Is this the product of adding the additional strength coach and the subtraction of the high performance guru?

Yes, I believe so. Instead of putting too much emphasis on strength coaches and gurus, I believe it's a direct result of better players. When Stoops took over, both lines were in woeful shape. Now with better players(and some going to the NFL), Schlarman and Brumbaugh look like geniuses. It's taken four years to get to this point, and our future looks very promising. It's hard being patient, but the BBN needs to hold fast. I think Stoops has this program turning the corner. JMO.

Well, we already have an SEC quality O Line but we are still waiting for the D Line to catch up. Stoops has been preaching physicality since he's arrived. I have noticed that our defense isn't arm tackling as much recently. They are wrapping up and finishing the defender. There is a lot going on right now. We have a coach who is still growing into the position and a team that is following him. There is still a ton of growth to go, but I don't think it can be said enough how much of a revelation Gran and Hinshaw are, particularly Gran. We need to seriously cut down on the turnovers.

I sat and watched the oline play after play the last several weeks, and for the most part they are bulldozing the front seven across from them. I could sit and watch that all night, on Sunday I watched Tyron Smith from Dallas absolutely maul everyone Philly put in front of him, I had a smile the whole time.

Once the defense catches up more we will have a good sold team. I do think we are SEC quality as it is, but could improve more in certain areas.
