The statement "both teams winning out" muddies the water. UT still has A&M and Alabama to play, not to mention UK. (I just thought I would throw that last one in.) UF has an easier schedule here on out, and one less loss definitely benefits them.

Auburn's mauling Miss. St. by a score of 35-0 at the half.

Auburn not that good either. MSU must be truly terrible. They look bad everywhere. One positive about this game is that those cowbells have been put away. What an annoying "tradition". It takes away from the enjoyment of the game.

No problem. I was just getting a bit confused. But it makes no difference now since UT is no longer unbeaten.

Sorry I didn't notice this until now. Let's see if I can get it right lol. If UT were to lose both a&m and Bama (one down, one to go) and UF were to win out without playing the LSU game their records would be 6-2 and 6-1 respectively. The winner of the division is based on win % rather than outright wins. So UF would have the higher percentage and win the east.

That is my understanding, B_V. I erred, in my original post, by saying if both run the table. Had that happened, UT would have won the East because they would have finished both the conference and overall season with a perfect record.
