Had a TD if Johnson would've put a little touch on that ball. Our younguns were playing against a defense with multiple first round draft picks. We needed the extra body on the line.

It's the smallish offensive lineman that lines up as a fullback at UK. Our O-line will have to learn to play with five big guys one day.

I'm happy the kids played hard. Not penalty prone. All turnovers are bad in football and ours were really bad. Sometimes that's the way it rolls. Neither Barker pre-injury or Johnson right now has shown the football IQ of throwing the ball away or knowing when to tuck it away and get what you can.
There has been some reasonable discussion of Gran not moving the pocket....but I would have to ask if our line has that capability.

Bottom line is teams with D like Alabama, Clemson, LSU.....are going to make you look bad when you're the folks on the other side.

Strange as it is to say, Vanderbilt will be the big test as to if this team has improved or is in a holding pattern.

Part of what contributed to the low penalty numbers was that the crew was letting a lot of stuff go. And, not be THAT guy, but they really looked the other way when Bama was holding. I'm not calling it anything bad, because they let stuff go both ways.

Frankly, as long as they are consistent, I can deal with it.
