Listen, everything I have heard (from a VERY reliable source) could possibly be BS. However, I gave my word that I would not give details and that it would all be revealed soon enough and the program and school have not done anything wrong and nothing will happen in regards to that. All I will say is that CMS has stepped over the line for a man in his position. I apologize for not disclosing what I've heard and take it for a grain of salt until you hear more info. All I will say is that we will have a new coach soon.

If we lose to USC Saturday then there is some big news coming quick. I'm not talking about just the firing of Mark Stoops but a much bigger bomb than that. I'm afraid that a buyout will not be necessary. I can't share the details but just sit back and watch. Even if we win Saturday it'll still come soon enough. This is a big deal and not good at all for CMS.

Soooo.."if we lose," this big news (which is not positive for Stoops, and is more than the termination of Stoops), happens soon. And this news is so big and bad, that it's going to happen, regardless, but that the timing would be delayed by victory, but only by victory?....

And this news, which will mean no buyout necessary for Stoops, and none of this is good for Stoops.

So, implying some legal or moral infraction has occurred, such that it would invoke "just cause" termination, but only one that was tempered by on the field success?

This is pretty much it. If it's something serious enough to warrant him leaving and voiding the contract a win over USC wouldn't delay it and there would already be information out in other places besides Wildcat Nation. By delaying the process because of a win that would be the program implying that winning is more important than morals or rules and they've already proven that isn't the case. Much ado about nothing.
