Southern Miss @ Kentucky Game Thread.

Well its football season in Kentucky and I am disappointed as usual. The whole thing reminds me of deja vu all over again or here we go again with the same old same old.

Elliot and Stoops are big time friends, I get that, but Stoops is as a CEO of a major corporation, where does Stoops loyalties lie? If, as it should be, with UK Football program, then DJ must be replaced, he is not getting the job done and friends or not, his defense stinks and has stunk for 4 yrs, Our defensive players may not be as good as we need, but they should be in position to make plays, they should be able to tackle. and a defensive coordinator should be able to game plan and put players in the best positions and schemes to be successful. If our players can't excel in the defense we are playing, the schemes should be changed. Stoops should of been able to see this coming, Louisville, Ga, TN Miss State and now Southern Miss, extremely embarrassing

If Commonwealth waits for me to show up it's going to be empty anyway. Hell, I grew up in Cincinnati, I guess I'll become a "the" Ohio State University fan. At least that way I won't have to be embarrassed all the time. Is it November yet?

I, like everybody else, am very disappointed and embarrassed with last nights collapse and loss and having to listen to the UL fans gloat. But I'm way more embarrassed by the way some in this thread acted. This is a team we all support, and we Love Kentucky Athletics, but to go to the extreme in several of the above posts is nothing to be proud of. We all love WCN, but it sounded to me like consumables were influencing comments. I'm praying for one poster in particular.

Who was the problem last year. Stoops or Dawson? Proof is in the pudding. I have to say the issue was with Stoops more then it was with Dawson.

What a joke. I've watched my last UK football game for the season.

I came on here to basically say the same thing. UK does not deserve my time and attention. Its time to move on. I'll be watching other college football and baseball while waiting for college basketball to start in early November.

As usual adjustments were made by the other team and UK could never adjust. If you ask me Stoops is not the man. I can understand getting beat from time to time on a play here or there but not for an entire half. Im sick of hearing all these Yahtzees and then having no guidance for them. Stoops has allowed this team to look unorganized and dysfunctional since he has been here. He has the Stoops name but just doesn't have the ability to keep his teams focused. Complete break downs like this should not happen. I mean you gotta find a couple of plays that work so you can keep your defense off the field. We played a decent team for the fist game but when you have a lead like that you have to find a way to manage the clock and at least squeak out with an ugly win.

All of this right here. Going on 4 years now and the guy does not make halftime adjustment. I work in construction and if a job that I'm running is going poorly, I have to change something. It's almost like Stoops gets caught in the moments of these games. He needs to be the one to go to Eddie Gran and say "Hey, Boom is averaging 7 YPC. Think we could get him some more touches." Or "Eddie they're getting pressure on Drew we need to call some shorter developing routes." Or "DJ go sit down because you're killing us."
