If you polled Kentucky fans on who the most important players are going into this season, the results would likely yield many votes for third-year quarterback Drew Barker, a good number for speedy running back Boom Williams and maybe even a handful in favor of dynamic tight end C.J. Conrad or gifted wide receivers like Garrett Johnson or Dorian Baker.

I think this will be an exciting season, because we will be competitive. I don't under estimate wins and loses, but this team will step up and compete. At least I think so.

Well - besides the obvious one in Drew Barker and various players on the offense, I'm going to have to go with Denzil Ware. A pass rush threat would do wonders for the defense and I already expect the offense to be much, much better than last year's.

All of the positions cited thus far do need to step up for 2016 to be a success. I'll add another: Head Coach. Stoops must have much better season. He was a bad head coach in 2015. He has to improve.
