Sitting here watching the Bama-Auburn game and those crazy sold out fans for both teams in a full stadium. I realize the rain kept some folks like me away, but where are the rabid, sold out Kentucky fans? There was more noise in this game in the 1st quarter than there was all day at CWS, even when the score was in our favor. Just maybe we should look at ourselves the same way we look at the play on the field. Remember I said maybe.

Point taken. This is a lifestyle change for the KENTUCKY program as a whole. Hard part is when you listen to Matt Jones show after the game and all the negativity from our radio staff before the calls start coming in and are negative then it feels like the complete WILDCAT NATION is tired as a whole.Proverbs 25:24Comment

Those fans are only a few hundred wins, a couple of national titles, and a few dozen conference championships down the road.
I'll tell you what. You pack South Carolina's basketball gym with fans and see how many more wins you get. I mean, it's all they need, right? It's not that Frank Martin is a terrible coach. It's not that their talent is garbage. No, no. It's the seats. If they could just have managed to get another 100 people in the gym, they'd have scored 5 more points.
I will never allow any fan, to make the completely dishonest assertion that victory follows support. It has NEVER, EVER, EVER been true. Support is drawn to success. Period.

Point taken, and you're right. But, I was just trying to make the point that we judge the players and coaches harshly, and we have no idea what is going on down on the field or with the team. We as fans, need to do our part too. Our fans stay in the parking lot until right before game time instead of making some noise during warm-ups. I must confess, I've never been to a Cat-walk. I certainly have no idea why this UK team doesn't put forth more effort, but I do believe it's a more talented team than has been at Kentucky in a long time. I also wish I wasn't physically challenged so I could make it to the games and do my part there.

Football is a game where will has to overcome all....weather, bad calls, bad luck, pain. More pain. Pain you get put on you by the opponent and pain from the game itself.
Has to start from the leaders....players....coaches.
Wesley Woodyard, Jacob Tamme, Randall Cobb......two and three star kids with that will.
Brooks was a fighter...literally...it showed in demeanor.
This whole group seemed to have lost that will a lot of games ago. Maybe the coaches didn't see...Maybe nothing they could do.
This seemed to be kids playing against men a lot of times this season. And last.
Next year starts now. Time to cowboy up or go somewhere you want to be.

I couldn't believe that there were empty seats today when we are playing our biggest rival to get bowl eligible. Our fans do need to come to the games and make noise, we really don't have a home field advantage. I have complained for years about our fans that don't show up.Comment

First of all Matt Jones is a basketball guy. I think he couldn't care less about football. The last two weeks on his tailgate show all he's talked about is their road trip to LA to see the basketball game with UCLA. Second I wonder how many of the caller/complainers actually go to the game and make noise to try to be a 12th man. I stayed til the end but I have never been as disgusted as I was today.Comment

I don't know what's ridiculous about having to listen to talk about basketball on a football pregame show.
I'm not a basketball person, I support them because it's UK. I don't worry about watching games until tournament time. You have no clue how angry I get when I hear the "basketball is just around the corner" people run their pie hole in the middle of October.
And fans are what could make CWS an intimidating place to play, which it is not.Comment
