    Georgia is Falling Apart

It appears that weird things are happening in Georgia. The good news is that they seem to be ripe to be beaten; the bad news is that if we roll in there and get trounced, Stoops and his staff will come off looking terrible.

There are rumors the defensive coordinator may be gone, and "physical altercations" may have occurred.

Corey Clark/TDO.comVerified account‏@Corey_Clark 13m13 minutes ago 680 in Atlanta reporting Pruitt could already be out. And that there may have been physical altercations. Yikes.

Twitter rumors are saying that something big will come down today. Some are saying Richt may be gone. We'll see.....

The USA Today on the situation as it stood before today. Interesting comment in there about how the DC is "intense and brash." Suggests there may be some kind of mutiny going on.

A coach firing is just the sort of thing that causes teams rally and come out fighting hard to win games everyone thinks they will loose. I don't like this for us....

KY is just the sort of team to take out your frustrations on. We need points on our first possession!

In normal circumstances maybe, but in this case, with (possibly) coaches fighting each other behind the scenes, I'm not so sure.

If Kentucky hadn't looked truly abysmal the last two weeks I'd think we were going to go in there and win. But it's pretty obvious we've got our own issues.

Mark Richt‏@MarkRicht 4m4 minutes ago Just so everyone knows, Jeremy Pruitt is our defensive coordinator and is in the office working diligently getting ready for Kentucky!

That takes care of that rumor. UGA will probably come out with their hair on fire and be ready to blister us this Saturday. May be a very long afternoon.

The more Georgia is focused on quelling internet rumors and less focused on getting ready for Kentucky the better.

That seemed to me more than an internet rumor. A bunch of people--including journalists--were talking about it before Richt stepped in.

I'm convinced something was going down there. Too much smoke.

But whether he makes it through this week or not is immaterial. Zero percent chance Richt is on the sideline next season.

Overdue, IMO. Can anyone name a coach who's been given a longer leash over the last decade or so?

He keeps getting bailed outby superb individual performances. He's had some really good qbs. He had Gurley then Chubb. He has nobody now so that's why he's getting burned at the stake. It's a shame too. By all accounts, Richt is a very well liked man with strong morals. Unfortunately, those things don't win you games. This is the ugly side of sports, IMO.

I like Richt, he's my favorite coach in the SEC. UK playing against him on Saturday makes me glad that their team is distracted with off-the-field concerns. Georgia is supremely talented and UK will get a chance to be a coach killer once again come Saturday. No matter what, Richt is going to be just fine. He'll get a little break and be in the top 15 in 2 years somewhere else.

I agree with BH and lotsaloanstoo. Coach Richt has the reputation of being a classy person.

I don't disagree with anything you guys are saying, but as far as UGA history and tradition are concerned, Richt isn't cutting it. Hasn't for a while. He wins games, but never wins titles. There's absolutely no reason why UGA shouldn't be in the hunt year in and year out.

I would take Mark Richt at UK in a heartbeat.

(I like Mark Stoops and don't want him fired, before anyone points that out)
