From 247 Website: 2016 UK FB Schedule Released!!

    http://kentucky.247sports.com/Articl...69cd-218325249

    Complete Kentucky 2016 Football Schedule

    Sept. 8 - SOUTHERN MISS
    Sept. 10 - at Florida
Sept. 17 - NEW MEXICO STATE
    Sept. 24 - SOUTH CAROLINA
    Oct. 1 - at Alabama
    Oct. 8 - VANDERBILT
    Oct. 15 - OPEN
    Oct. 22 - MISSISSIPPI STATE
    Oct. 29 - at Missouri
    Nov. 5 - GEORGIA
    Nov. 12 - at Tennesse
    Nov. 19 - AUSTIN PEAY
    Nov. 26 - at Louisville

I believe the Sept 8 must be typo - I assume the opener would be Sept 3. Overall not a bad schedule.

Don't understand the logic in having to play Alabama again before getting to play Tx A/M, Ole Miss or Ark. Fairly sure we have played the Tide more recently than any of the three I listed.

Well, we played Alabama in Stoops first season (2013), we played Ole Miss in 2011, and Arkansas in the lightning-shortened debacle in 2012. We played LSU in 2014 and Auburn this year. Maybe we'll play A&M in 2017. You raise a good point, but I don't have an explanation.

I believe I'll wait until we've played a few games, next season, before I make a prediction. There's too many unknowns, at this time, to make an accurate prediction, in my opinion.

This schedule certainly gives us more opportunities for wins, but like Matt D, I'll wait until I see the team that takes the field before making any prediction. I feel good about our chances.

All it takes is a couple of injuries and that 8-4 prediction becomes 4-8.

If players keep jumping ship, we're never going to be able to build any quality depth. That's the drawback with signing the quality of players we're signing now, everyone wants to start and/or play lots of minutes.

7-5 or 6-6 is my baseline with the hope that we can catch a break to maybe grab 8-4. It's incredible to me how difficult it is to go 8-4 in the SEC.

That tells me how far off we are. We have a LONG way to go.

You think we are a LONG way off from an 8-4 season?

I for one don't think so, especially with a favorable schedule like this. Sure, we can't afford another injury to the D-line like we had this year, but if we stay major injury free, it's possible. It sure would be nice if we could find a couple of 3-stars like Cobb and Woodyard.

Looks like a fairly decent schedule to me....Bama on the road will certainly be tough

I don't see next season's schedule as being much easier, if any at all. Next season we have one less home game, plus we replace an Auburn team that was very beatable this year with Bama.
