You are right on the Crow tastes better after a win. True trap game for a young team and staff. Hope they all learned something tonight.

19 tackles by 67 corey johnson. That is very impressive.

He is having an outstanding season. Big tackle totals for a DT, not just tonight. Smart plays, consistently. I think the level of play he and Melvin Lewis are giving the Wildcats does a lot to make up for the departures of Bud Dupree and Za'Darius Smith to the NFL.

This game was far more exciting than I anticipated. I was fighting mad for most of the second half; but never really believed we would loose. (I was having doubts with about 7 minutes to play)

To be a respectable program you need to win the games your supposed to win. We have seen time and again this season SEC teams struggle with alleged non-conference cupcakes. Glad we kept fighting and got the win.

The fan's that stayed got pretty loud at the end. I'm a little disappointed in how fragile our game attending fans tend to be.

Hope we are sharp coming off the bi week. Booger Mcfarland likes us.

My view is we've had four games that in the past we would have not made the plays and lost but we've made the plays at end and won them. IMO that's the beginning of changing the culture here. Now if we could just get some of the fans to stop quitting on the team and stay till the end.

Total side note--I saw big Z sack Mike Vick on consecutive plays Thursday night. Was proud of him and our program.

We were 7 minutes from disaster.

Some huge plays in that game, especially Baker's unbelievable catch on fourth down. But the lack of energy was amazing, especially on defense. Just a weird vibe all game long. I kept thinking that the team we saw in the second half last year had shown up.

You wonder if the suspensions (what was up with Swindle?) added to the way we played. If maybe the team just had a really bad week of practice.

                      Good time for the bye.

Another shocking thing about the game is how poor our offensive line is.

We've improved so much in some areas. Finally have some SEC receivers. The secondary is much better than it's been since Brooks. The D-line up until last night had been formidable. We've got some good backs.

But the offensive line is about as poor as I've seen it. We just cannot block up there. It's frustrating to watch us get manhandled by EKU again and again.

He played great, but I hate it when anyone on our D has lots of tackles - on the field too much. I wish we had only 50-60 tackles in games.

So after the smoke cleared in the SEC, our team has 5 SEC games remaining and 4 of those are against teams at or near the bottom of the SEC currently. Auburn last in the west, Miss St 5th in the west, Vandy 5th in the east and Tennessee 4th in the east. All 4 behind us. Then we have UGA that is tied in the east with UK. After last night it is hard to look too far ahead but we have a chance in all 4 of those games, plus the 2 non-conference games. Just things to ponder.

If we play like last night again, we don't have a chance in any of them.
