I don't think you can blame Shannon Dawson entirely for the problem that Towles doesn't understand the meaning of the word OPTION. One he loses the play's first option, it's like he's ADD and doesn't know what to do. He tells every play with his head before it happens. It's awful to watch really. And Dawson is truly predictable and seemingly weak at play calling, it sure would help if he had a QB who could think on his feet.

EKU just wanted to make sure the drive took some time off the clock. 2 TD lead and they allowed us to score a little fast. Now if our d (little D for a reason), if our d can get a 3 and out then we have a chance to (i cannot believe i am sayings this) try to tie EKU.

Dawson is to blame for not playing Barker. Towles is a big boy. If he can't make multiple reads he will never be a good SEC qb.
