For those who think UK fans can be hard on a coach,...

Take a look at this. And this is about Steve Superior.

That's called perspective. Our... "critiques"? Tame by a large margin.

Thanks for sharing. The effect of UK winning on other programs (as illustrated in that thread you linked) is something I can get used to in a very good way. USC is another step on the ladder as we look to eventually play for the SEC championship. It's a huge IF, but if we beat UF and Mizzou the next two weeks, then we could have a real shot at finishing at least third in the East.

I realize it's very early, in the season, but UGa. and UT look like the two toughest teams on the schedule at this point in time.

Florida gets LSU and Ole Miss from the West. South Carolina gets Texas A&M and LSU. If Kentucky beats Florida, Kentucky almost certainly finishes ahead of Vanderbilt, Florida and South Carolina in the East, which is good for fourth. Missouri gets Mississippi State and Arkansas from the West; if Kentucky beats Missouri, I think Kentucky most likely does no worse than a tie for third place in the East and I believe the head to head win would be a tiebreaker that would technically give Kentucky third place.

At this point I would not discount the chances of Kentucky adding a win against either Auburn or Mississippi State from the West.

Tennessee gets (at) Alabama and Arkansas from the West; Georgia, Alabama and (at) Auburn.

A third place finish in the East, especially if it came with a win against a team from the West, could land a nice bowl spot. Even something worse than third could result in a nice trip, especially with Arkansas and Tennessee now sporting losses from out of conference play.

A lot of those South Carolina fans are calling for Spurrier to hang it up... and at least two of them said they want Marcus Lattimore to replace him as coach. He's 23 years old. And I thought some of our basketball fans could be unrealistic. Wow.

We can beat Florida and Mizzou. If so, CWS will be rocking on an October Thursday night.

Don't want to rain on your parade, but we've got a long way to go to become meaningful in the East. When I took off my rose-colored glasses, I saw a team who almost gave away the game with a horrible 2nd half. Enough fist pumping......let's get down to fixing what went wrong Saturday. GO CATS!

They'll shut up about Spurrier when SC beats Georgia.

Not to bring out an umbrella and be argumentative, but I'd like to take a moment to talk about what went right. How many times have we spit the bit in games like Saturday night (or the prior Saturday night for that matter). This past Saturday the defense bent 3 times and only broke once. Yet even when it broke, it got 2 of those points back. If we're feeling good about ourselves and are enjoying the rose colored glasses, so be it.

Sure there's a lot to fix. The coaches and players understand this better than we do. For most of the remaining games we're still be underdogs and struggling, yet from what I've seen so far, we'll be fighting. I too believe we can beat many teams on our schedule. Will we? It remains to be seen. But from what I've witnessed so far this season with our team and others, there may be only one game where we're truly over-matched. Therefore, give us some bounces and we have a fighting chance. I personally am fully enjoying being 2-0! Go Cats!

Didn't say we will, but that we can. Sure we have our issues but so do the next copule teams on the schedule. I'm taking it one game at a time but don't underestimate what a road conference win can do for a young squad. Like someone said earlier, the players and coaches knows whats up moreso than us fans. I'm just giddy to be 2-0 and finally getting that road monkey off our back.CWS will be rocking Saturday night.

The bad news is our defense gave up or nearly gave up a 17 point halftime lead in the second half in both games to date. The good news is we won.

The bad news is we gave up four scores in both games to date. The good news is we improved from 3 TD's and one FG in the first game to 3 FG's and 1 TD for those 4 scores against SC.

Florida is a team brim full of athletes but is in a bit of overall disarray and can't decide on a QB. Hopefully we won't help them solve any of their current problems this coming weekend.

As I've stated previously. I just don't see a team on our schedule that we can't beat. That's certainly not to say that we'll go undefeated but this is the first time in a long time I can look at our schedule and make a good argument for winning each game.

What would you bet that the QB that starts will be awful, then get hurt, then have the backup eat our lunch. (Again!)

I still have a hard time seeing how we could beat the Dawgs down in Athens. But other than that, I think every other game is definitely winnable.

We do fall in between Georgia's two biggest rivals (@Florida and @Auburn) on their schedule.
