Early Spread Projections for Every 2026 Kentucky Football Game

Big Blue Nation is impatiently waiting for the first game of the Will Stein era. We are 103 days away from the Kentucky season opener at Kroger Field against Youngstown State. The contest against the FCS opponent will be one of the few games where the Wildcats are expected to be favorites in 2026.

Stein’s first few months on the job have been filled with good news for the Wildcats. Kentucky signed a top 10 transfer portal class and is seemingly adding a new high school commitment every day. Big Blue Nation is buying into the hype, but it’s not changing the data.

It's really hard to say until the games begin, but I see several I disagree with. I wouldn't be shocked if we beat Bama.

They didn't list the two home non conference games with MAC teams. I assume the spread for these have not been posted yet. UK is almost certain to be favored in both of the games.

I read somewhere, the other day, that it's either the second or third hardest schedule in FBS football this coming season.

As usual, I'm very skeptical of USCjr and receiving 10+ points to them looks like a lock. But, they've definitely had our number recently.

Missouri is another team that I wouldn't think we're too much below. As the season progresses, we'll see where we are and which teams on our schedule are overrated.

At least we won't be playing boring football and going 4-corners when we have a lead in the 3rd quarter. I hope it's not like the Mumme years where we scored quite a bit and gave up even more. Would like to see our defense be opportunistic and create some points vs being so passive all game long.

I don't think it'll be anything like the Mumme years. Apparently, coach Mumme thought we could outscore most of the teams on our schedule in a shoot-out, so he stocked up on offensive players. I believe the def. will be very legit.
