    Kentucky Spring Practice 101: Early Lessons Learned About Will Stein's Cats

    The blooming flowers of spring are a natural symbol of rebirth. That’s what Kentucky football is currently experiencing under Will Stein. It’s our first opportunity to see how the program will operate after 13 years under Mark Stoops. Despite all of Stoops’ early success, things grew stale. We’re learning this spring what life can be like for Kentucky football under different, youthful leadership. While you were locked in on March Madness, here are a few things we’ve gathered from Kentucky Spring Practice.

      I like we're hitting in practice. I like that we're operating at much faster pace. I like that it appears we have more depth than I expected in several position groups.

      I'm very skeptical we have enough talent to beat more than 4 teams on our formidable schedule.

          They'll be markedly better. It's possible they're markedly better and don't have a better record. I think Stein has enough portal guys to keep us competitive and hopefully win enough to get to a bowl.

              I think we will surprise a few people on our schedule. It looks like Minchey is dropping dimes right into the receiver's mitts, that's good to see. Just gonna go out on a limb here. Week two, Bama, at home, probably on National TV, Should be one of the best atmospheres in the stadium's history for that one. This isn't Saban's Bama, DeBoer is kinda on the hot seat. I'm snffing an upset special and statement by Stein, that we're for real.

                  I hope you're right. But, I've been fooled so many times before. I'm too old to let Lucy pull that football away one more season. I have to see some wins on the field before I believe it'll be different this season.

                  I do agree that I expect us to look and be better. But, as posted above, that may not translate into more wins. The schedule is murder.
