    special teams coach

So I'm a big believer in special teams and ours under Stoops were more miss than hit. When Dean Hood had them and when Bradley Peveto had them they were top notch, other than those two our special teams were pretty dismal. Was always a huge pet peeve of mine with Stoops.

Stein I was hoping would see the light and get us a great STs coach. Well we got one, not sure about the great part. Parker Fleming was hired for the job, used to be STs coach at OSU. https://www.on3.com/teams/kentucky-w...l-teams-coach/

It's not hard to find online how happy OSU fans were when he got fired. Maybe it was a fit thing and he'll be better here, maybe, I hope so, but color me concerned about this hire.

I agree about ST's. Their importance is too often overlooked in my opinion.

Fleming and Stein crossed paths in Oregon. Some familiarity between the two. Networking is still a big deal apparently… We have a large staff… All of us will just have to a wait-and-see what it all looks like… He has my attention? Hope the same with the players.
I no longer have tickets or attend games but for those that do let us know if you have to stand behind a player in the concessions line 4th quarter?

Kentucky’s special teams performance was excellent all around when Mark Nelson coached them while Guy Morriss was the head coach. He coached at other schools and in the CFL after leaving Kentucky. I always thought he was underappreciated.

I'd forgotten about Mark Nelson. I imagine him, Peveto and Hood are the three best UK has had in the last 25-30 years.
