Word is that Stein is willing to bring out the Brinks armored truck for Nic Anderson, so that seems to indicate we still have plenty of money available, at least for the most critical areas of need.

After transferring last year from Oklahoma, Anderson didn't do much last year at LSU. In fact, this SI report says he was one of the big "flops" in last year's portal. Hope they're wrong.

To be fair, LSU was kind of a flop too. Anderson put up huge numbers his previous season at Oklahoma, so we know he can do it under the right circumstances.

This thread on reddit's college football board doesn't really fill me with optimism about him. Posters saying he's continually injured and Oklahoma fans saying he's a locker room cancer. Maybe sour grapes but who knows

I think some of the kids we let get away — particularly the Miller kid who signed with OL’ Miss — were better than what is still available in the portal.

Coach Stein gets paid the big bucks to bring it all together. We have a couple of good receivers, couple of good receiving TE and a couple of good receiving RB.

Players have till midnight tomorrow to enter the portal. Teams can sign those players throughout the spring and summer, IIRC. I am sure Stein will get the best he can, roll with it and see where we are come August. Maybe he still gets a good HS receiver as well, who knows at this point.
