I appreciate that but don't worry about it. I'm not in the Boro anymore and a tad less blue after the divorce.

I played a lot of softball in Murfreesboro for many years. From 1986 till injuries took their toll in 2002. Hardest infield I ever played on was there, like playing on blacktop. Miss those days. I liked the Boro.

Took a peek at the old site this morning. What an absolute train wreck over there, a football thread had people arguing politics and basketball in it. The politics yahoos are polluting every thread since they don't have a home now. That will be the last time I look in on that mess.

I posted quite a bit in the Political Thread on The Paddock. I did my absolute best to keep politics out my posts on Rafters and the Lair.

That said, I can live without the Political Thread, but my a$$ is chapped over the fact that they rolled the FB board into Rafters. Predictably, at least 80% of the threads pertain to BB. I love UK BB as much as the next UK guy, but a lot of the posters on Rafters take it to a level I prefer not to engage in.

In summary, I won't delete my account over there, but there's less and less reason to go over there. I'm glad I already had an account over here from a long time ago.

Where did you play? I'm sure with the influx of people it's gone or super nice now.

I moved to the Boro in 2010 from Nashville. I laughed about moving to a "small town". I have never been so wrong. The population more than doubled by 2020. Last I heard about 180,000 people not including 40k or so at MTSU. Of course the streets were designed for 30,000 people. The growth in Rutherford County, and middle TN as a whole, is insane.

I moved to Nashville in 1994, back when it still seemed small. Those days are long gone sadly.

Just checked over there. About 30 out the first 35 threads are about basketball, and they are basically trashing the team and Pope. Ugh.

I miss the old days of wildcatthunder. That was the first UK forum I frequented. I was also in college then, so I didn’t have a lot to do in between classes.
