    Ole Miss decision on Kiffin

There were a lot of comments by the ESPN talking heads and a few on this board along the lines that Ole Miss was "cutting off their nose to spite their face" by refusing to let Lane Kiffin coach them through the playoffs. Even though HE ABANDONED THEM in the midst of a great season to be head coach at another team IN THE SAME CONFERENCE, and one of their MOST HATED RIVALS to boot. One dude around here even opined that they shouldn't even be in the playoff field without him. If they had lost in the first round I still would've agreed with their decision. But now they are in the semifinals. They just beat Georgia, to whom Kiffin lost earlier in the season. Bravo, Ole Miss administration! Take a bow!

Pete Golding is one popular man in Mississippi right now.

Ole Miss was the better team last night for sure. Pete wins one more and he will be a god (little g) in Mississippi. The team is playing hard for their coach. Now an even harder game I think MIAMI has played about as hard as anyone so far in the playoffs. IU might be a little above everyone else but it is down to 4 and anything can happen. Pulling for Ole Miss and Oregon but expect IU and Miami to win the game.
