    Whittingham to Michigan

Good coach, very solid record ar UU. Not sure why he opted for that pressure cooker rather than continue doing good things at Utah with significantly less pressure. Probably couldn't win a Nattty with the Utes and MI most likely gave him a big raise. But the microscope will be full power at Ann Arbor with no goodwill whatsoever.

He'll have 'em playing some hard nosed football. I've always liked his style.

That said, Michigan is a bit of a mess at the moment. Good luck to him.

I'm fairly sure he had previously announce he was not returning to Utah for next year.

They had a coach-in-waiting situation Utah. The administration wanted KW to make some changes he disagreed with, so he resigned. Made it clear he wasn't retiring. Then the wild developments at Meeechagan occurred.
