    Justin Burke?

It looked like Burke was going to be Stein's OC, but then the Joe Sloan hire seemed to come out of left field.

But then I heard that Burke was STILL going to be on staff, but I haven't heard anything since. Can someone fill me in on where that stands and if Burke is coming on board?

A lot of people speaking who don't know what they're saying.

It was Adam Luckett speaking on the KSR podcast as the Sloan hire was "breaking news".

Here's the clip. He mentions what I said at the 32 second mark:

With three OCs on the staff maybe we can figure out something to do.

          Here's a question:
How many OC's does it take to call a QB draw on 3rd and 11? Or a WR screen that requires our receiver to break no less than 4 tackles to pick up the first down?

I hope and pray we don't have to answer those questions with Stein at the helm.

Here's why it might make sense or be important to have Burke ASSIST Joe Sloan

Sloan was Brian Kelly's Offensive Coordinator at LSU. Kelly ran a more prehistoric offense that wasn't as new school and advanced as what Stein plans to implement.

Burke worked with Stein at the University of Texas at San Antonio. They know one another and Burke is familiar with the type system that Stein will likely implement.

So while Stein is busy being THE HEAD COACH (*NOT the Offensive Coordinator), Burke would be a great asset to Sloan.

Other teams have a position for "Co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach"...I don't see why that couldn't be the case here.

But hey, whatever...let's just make this transition as difficult as possible for the new staff.
