College Football Playoff: Predicting who will win the national title?

The dust has barely settled on the College Football Playoff reveal, but the commentary on whether the Committee acted correctly can wait. We’re all about ball.

Who is going to win the national title? Let’s start projecting it.

The Vols are going back to Nashville to play Illinois in the Music City Bowl. Needless to say, their fans aren't thrilled about that. Some are wanting Heupel and UT to decline the invitation.

I'd like to see Oregon win it all because of Stein and coach Brooks. Failing that, I'd like to see Indiana win it.

I'll pick UGa to win it all. After the results of week 15 they look like the best team at the moment. Against IU and tOSU. Other than Bama I'd be okay with any of the SEC teams winning. Ole Miss success would be a real slap in the face to Kiffin, and very entertaining. As The Marshal said, Oregon success is good for our new HC.

              We're not spoiled like them.

So glad ND got snubbed. Join a conference and you wouldn't get snubbed, Irish. Very much over having separate rules just for them.

I still think OSU can win it, but GA is playing really well. IU should win one game but I think that's about it. I don't expect any of the lower seeds to surprise. Maybe top 7 have a chance, don't think 8-12 have a prayer of winning it all.

First round games could be routs. I don't believe 12 teams deserve a chance, but that argument was settled a while back (also don't believe 65 teams should make the BB tourney).

UGA should win. But will pull for Ole Miss as well (players deserve it with all that is going on) then Bama or Oklahoma followed by Texas AM and then IU, Oregon, JMU, Tulane, Texas Tech, Miami and Ohio State.

I pull for SEC first then others.

I’m with you. Sick of ND acting better than every other college program in the country. AND the NCAA and/or the FBS committee just going along with it. Then they’re ranked top 5-8 to start every single season regardless of what they did the year before.

And BTW I’m catholic. We’re not all ND fans. I’m an even playing field fan. Not that that’s ever existed.

My best guess is UGA. Honestly wouldn’t put anything past IU at this point though. They’ve got some magic going on.

Shockingly, it would be difficult to bet against Indiana at this point.

I like UGA due to win due to there marked improvement on the defensive end. My wildcard is Texas Tech. Dont be surprised if the win a game or 2 in playoff.

Tech is a team to watch. They're better than a lot of people give them credit for being.

I hope it comes down to UGa and IU and UGa wins.

Barring that...I'd like to see Tulane or JMU upset the whole thing and win it all. I have no doubt whatsoever that this will absolutely NOT happen. But it'd be kinda cool.
